
LAKE DISTRICT ADVENTURE WEEKENDS
Fancy leaving the towns and cities behind and come to visit the beautiful National Parks of England and Wales? For a whole weekend we will be running Adventure Training including mountain walking, mountain biking, rock climbing and abseiling experiences. The weekend will be both a stress relieving and enjoyable atmosphere, and will provide you with an opportunity to learn some practical and theoretical knowledge regarding the activities you will undertake. These weekends are sure to be huge amounts of fun and we would love you to join us!

- 18.00 Meet in Liverpool to car pool
- Arrive at Lake District accommodation from 20:00 or by 20.30 latest.
- 21.00 Weekend briefing by main instructor covering bag packing, food, water etc.
OR
- 7.30 Breakfast – Self Cater or local restaurant/ pub. (Not included in cost)
- 8.30-15.00 Blencathra Mountain Walking Activity
- 17.00 Evening Meal at Whitehorse Inn Pub (Not included in cost)
- 18.30 Free Time (Keswick 10-15 minute drive/ Bunkhouse Pub open until 11pm)
- Personal Equipment Required – Walking Boots/ Warm Top/ Hat/ Gloves/ Waterproof jacket and trousers/ Bag Return to accommodation followed by an evening meal at local restaurant and a group social.

- The weekends are open to the general public.
- Due to the nature of the activities we will be undertaking across the weekend participants should be of good health and have an above average level of fitness.
- Breakfast is included for both Saturday and Sunday, other meals must be provided by you.
- Bunkhouse accommodation is included for the weekend. “Four of the stables have been converted into bedrooms, two of which sleeping 6 people in bunks, one sleeping eight and one sleeping four. There is a basic kitchen with electric hob, fridge, microwave and a coin operated clothes dryer and a communal dining area seating 16-20 people. The toilet block has male and female toilets, basins and showers. Guests are welcome to socialise in the pub which is open from 11am to 11pm and has free wifi, hot drinks and good beer. Food is served 12-2pm and 6-9pm on weekdays and all day on weekends”… Please bring a sleeping bag or pay additional £5 for bed sheets and pillow.
- Transport to the Lake District is not supplied. Car sharing is encouraged. Should you require assistance please contact us in advance.
- All equipment is provided for the Rock Climbing session (Sunday).

BASIC WEEKEND KIT LIST
- Sleeping Bag
- Walking boots (waterproof) & Trainers suitable for Rock Climbing
- Day Sack 25-35L
- Waterproof jacket and trousers
- Fleece or mid layer top
- Base layer top x 2
- Walking trousers (no jeans)
- Hat and gloves
- Walking socks
- Flip flops, towel and wash kit
- Two litres of water or containers of equal value
- Sun cream and sun glasses
- Should you wish to have a hot drink please bring a flask and your own supplies
PLEASE NOTE
There are 20 places available on each weekend. Your place is only confirmed when a £30 deposit has been received.
Deposits are required in order to confirm the accommodation and instructor booking. DEPOSITS REQUIRED BEFORE 31ST OCTOBER!
CANCELLATION POLICY
Deposits are used to secure the accommodation and instructors and as a result are non-refundable. For remaining balances: 3+ Months’ Notice: All but deposit is refundable or transferable to other events.
1-3 Months’ Notice: 50% of final payment refundable or transferable to other events. (does not included deposit)
<1 Months’ Notice: Both deposit and final payments are not refundable or transferable to other events.
